Coaching Staff

Kevin Burdick
Assistant Coach

Kevin Burdick is entering his fourth season as an assistant coach for the Pride. He serves as the hitting coach as well as the mental skills coach.

During his tenure, the Pride have been to three conference tournaments and one NCAA regional by capturing the MAC Commonwealth Championship in 2016.  Coach Burdick began his coaching career with the Mt Carmel Legion program in the Greater Norristown League. In 2013, he helped guide the Mounties to their first league title in 33 years. After his legion coaching career, Coach Burdick entered the college ranks at Division II Regis University in Denver, Colo. as a volunteer assistant coach. His primary focus was coaching mental skills. 

Coach Burdick graduated from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla. and is originally from Plymouth Meeting, Pa. where he currently resides today.

Dan Galluccio
Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator

Dan Galluccio enters his first year as the Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator for the Pride.
Galluccio brings more than 10 years of coaching experience to the Widener staff, including stints with youth and college showcase teams as well as high school teams, most recently East Stroudsburg High School. He also provides private instruction for players of all ages, helping them target desired colleges or preparing them for professional baseball.
The North Salem, N.Y. native has been serving as the Head of Player Development for Tri-State Elite Academy in Hatfield, Pa. since October, 2018. He is responsible for curriculum development and training that teaches baseball fundamentals and skills. The training includes simulated drills and tournament play.
Galluccio earned his B.S. in Psychology from Post University in 2008.

Robert Barth
Pitching Coach

Robert Barth is entering his first season as the pitching coach for the Pride.

The 2015 Widener graduate was a two-time Second Team All-MAC Commonwealth selection, garnering the honors in his sophomore and senior seasons. The Norristown, Pa. native led the team in strikeouts in 2015, recording 65 in 80 innings of work.

After graduating, Barth was hired as a senior associate for RSM US LLP and still works for the Blue Bell, Pa. based company.

Barth earned his B.S. in Business Administration and currently resides in Phoenixville, Pa.

Donald Edwards
Asssitant Pitching Coach

Edwards enters his first year as the Assistant Pitching Coach for the Pride.

He joins the staff after a four-year career playing career with the Pride. His best season came in 2019, striking out 12 batters in 13.2 innings pitched.

The West Chester, Pa. native earned his B.S. in Business Management from Widener in 2019.  

Joe Kinee
Strength & Conditioning Coach

Kinee enters his first season as the Pride’s strength and conditioning coach in 2019.

He brings four years of coaching experience to the staff, most recently serving as a trainer at Plank’d Fitness, offering classes consisting of HIIT and cardio training.

Before receiving his certification as a strength and conditioning specialist in 2018, Kinee was a pitching instructor at South Philadelphia Sports Training, coordinating individual and group sessions for youth and high-school aged athletes.

Kinee earned his B.S. in Exercise Science in 2017 from West Chester where he was the captain of the national championship team during his senior year.
